As I’ve written in my ‘about’ page, I am currently finishing up my last semester as a journalism student at Mohawk College. I feel I’ve accomplished pretty much everything I had planned and am very satisfied with what I have learned from this course. Obviously there have been discouragements and dull days, but various classes have improved my confidence, my work ethic both academically and socially and my over all character as a student and a citizen.
A goal I have not yet accomplished is finding employment in the field. I wish to eventually become a foreign correspondent, and am finding it hard to find experience. Despite unavailable employment, I feel my workshop, also known as residency, is giving me more than enough material for an eventually great demo. Hopefully by April I will have established a professional demo, resume and profile to broaden my chance of employment. Hopefully even sooner, I can post various reports of mine on the site.
